A Proud History
INBLF was founded in 2004 by Manhattan attorney Steven Spielvogel, a partner of the New York boutique law firm Gallion & Spielvogel, which focuses its practice on business and commercial litigation and independent internal corporate investigations.
INBLF grew out of Spielvogel’s commitment to providing his firm’s clients with the best legal representation available. When a client sought assistance in an area beyond Gallion & Spielvogel’s primary practice areas, he wanted to be able to suggest a referral without reservation. Knowing that superior boutique firms could provide his clients top-quality legal services with a high degree of personal attention at a reasonable cost, he set out to identify local attorneys in boutique practices whose credentials, professional experience, and accomplishments were of the highest caliber.
After he assembled a network of preeminent boutique law firms in the New York metropolitan area, Spielvogel began linking boutique firms in the U.S. and Canada into a single network capable of delivering the unequaled legal services in a full range of practice areas. He then sought to add independent firms on a global basis. Today, INBLF membership includes more than 250 boutique firms in the U.S. and Canada, and prestigious full-service law firms in 38 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and the South Pacific.
